<p>A few weeks ago, Ron Charles, the Washington Post book critic and <a href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/video/2010/09/22/VI2010092201878.html">totally hip book reviewer</a>, announced on his<a href="https://twitter.com/RonCharles/status/287246335743254529"> Twitter feed that Thomas Pynchon would be releasing a new book toward the end of the year, titled The Bleeding Edge</a>. Immediately there was a flurry of excitement, speculation, and talk about the prospect of a new Pynchon novel, at least within the book blogs and news outlets I follow, even though precious little details were being released, namely if the book was finished, when it was actually coming out, or what it was even about.</p>

<p>Fantasy author <a href="http://www.amazon.com/David-Dalglish/e/B003AUKAI4/?_encoding=UTF8&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;linkCode=ur2&amp;qid=1362058556&amp;sr=1-2-ent&amp;tag=lesgedi-20">David Dalglish</a> is a big name in the self-publishing world, but he's on the cusp of something even bigger.</p>
<p>His path wasn't easy. When David uploaded his first book, way back in February 2010, he was working in Pizza Hut.</p>
<p>The popularity of his books, and the speed with which he was able to publish them, meant that it didn't take long before he was able to quit that job and write full-time.</p>

<p>If there was any compelling reason why I fancied to be a writer, it would be the apparent direct correlation between a man's writing success and his chances of getting laid. I'm not making this up; I read this in an article some time during my last year in college, during which time my hornyness level was off the charts. And trust me, when a man is super horny, any article that has the keyword 'get laid' printed on it will always be a worthy read.</p>
